This RS PRO replacement solenoid coil is suitable for use with an 01V Series hydraulic solenoid valve. Solenoid valves are used to control the flow of liquid, most commonly as a low-power switch operating a series of valves. They're found in a wide range of applications, including automatic irrigation systems, food processing and pneumatic automation.

The solenoid is an electromagnet consisting of a metal coil tightly wrapped around a solid metal core. It's housed in a plastic casing and terminated with a 3-pin DIN plug for assembly with the valve (DIN stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute for Standardisation). It takes a power supply voltage of 220 V AC with power consumption of 5 VA.
