5106A HART Transparent Repeater
PR Electronics 5106A HART transparent repeater is a signal isolator with 2-way HART communication for 2-wire transmitters installed in the hazardous area. The 5106A signal conditioner is based on microprocessor technology for gain and offset. The analogue signal is transmitted at a response time of less than 25 ms. Mounted vertically or horizontally on a DIN rail. As the devices can be mounted without distance between neighbouring units, up to 84 channels can be mounted per meter.
Features and Benefits
• 3.75 kV ac galvanic isolation
• Inputs, outputs and supply are floating and galvanically separated
• Output can be connected either as an active current transmitter or as a 2-wire transmitter
• Low response time
• Universal supply by AC or DC
• DIN Rail mounting (vertically or horizontally)

What is HART Protocol?
The HART protocol is a low speed, digital communications scheme that is carried on a 4 to 20 mA current signal. As 4 to 20 mA loops are commonly used in industry, the HART protocol is easy to implement, easy to use, and easy to troubleshoot. Devices that communicate via HART are popular in many industries.
