This active card features a 32 bit microcontroller, enabling data pre-processing, like precise on-board time-stamping and data filtering. It connects to the PC through a single-lane (1x) PCI Express interface, while the CAN bus side connects via D-Sub 9 connectors with galvanic isolation. The galvanic isolation provides reliable protection of the PC against overvoltage and voltage peaks.
