The Vishay Ambient Light Sensor features 16 bit digital resolution in a miniature 2.67 mm x 2.45 mm opaque package. It incorporates a high sensitivity photodiode, low noise amplifier, and a 16 bit A/D converter for precise ambient light measurements. The sensor supports an easy to use I2C bus communication interface and includes an interrupt feature for efficient operation. Ambient light data is provided as a digital value, making it suitable for applications where compact size and high precision light sensing are required.
