Ensure grease stays inside bearings and keep contaminants out with this felt ring seal from SKF. The simple but efficient design is suitable for use with plummer block housings, which can support heavy industrial loads. You can use it at peripheral speeds up to 4m/s or at higher speeds where a small gap forms between the felt and the shaft, transforming it into a non-rubbing gap-type seal. Using felt seals enables unlimited axial movement on the shaft relative to the housing.

It helps to soak the felt strips in hot oil for a few minutes before inserting them into the grooves. Put the rubber O-section cords into the grooves first as this will prevent the seals from turning.
