A2 Stainless Steel Button Head Hexagonal Socket Screw Kit

From the trusted RS PRO brand, this set of high-quality button head hexagonal socket screws have a cylindrical head and an internal hex drive. Socket screws are tightened using an Allan or Hex key, making them ideal for use in applications where externally wrenched fasteners are not practical because of a lack of space. Button-headed screws have a larger head diameter than the screw shaft, making them more appropriate for holding thin materials such as sheet metal guards.

In this kit, you will find a range of 490 socket screws with button heads and hexagonal sockets for Allan or hex keys. The kit includes thread sizes of M3, M4, M5 and M6 with lengths ranging from 8mm to 20mm.

Features and Benefits

  • Button head hexagonal socket screws to DIN7380 standards

  • A2 stainless steel

  • Generally non-magnetic

  • Cannot be hardened by heat treatment

  • Supplied in a polypropylene case with a hinged cover

Applications

The impressive strength of A2 stainless steels makes it a versatile component material that can withstand wear and tear. Compared to ordinary fasteners, fewer socket screws of the same size can achieve an equal clamping force in a joint. As fewer screws are required for a given job, fewer holes are required to be drilled and tapped, as well as reducing the overall project weight as fewer, smaller screws are used. The cylindrical heads of socket screws also need less space than hex heads and require no additional wrench space, allowing for more precise and streamlined construction.
