Allen Bradley Guardmaster Cover For TLS-Z GD2 Safety Guard Locking Switches, Red - 440G-A27373

This cover from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley Guardmaster range is compatible with guard-locking switches from the TLS-ZL GD2 series. It lets you release a switch through an auxiliary action and you can use it even in the event of power failure or absence of an emergency release function. As these safety devices are designed to prevent a machine guard door from opening during operation, this cover optimises your industrial safety setup. When mounting it, it's advisable you don't attach the knob permanently to the switch to prevent accidental activation.

• Comes with permanent fixing screws for easy mounting
• Rotating knob for quick release
• Features closing and opening icons on its body for quick status configuration

Standards and Certifications

• UL (Underwriters' Laboratories)

The TLS-ZR GD2 is a power-to-release and the TLS-ZL GD2 is a power-to-lockunit. In mechanical configuration these new switches are identical to the existing TLS-GD2 family with the exception of an additional RFID door target which is mounted close coupled with the supplied fully-flexible actuator. The RFID door target is uniquely coded and provides the internal microprocessor with additional door position information.

How do I operate the auxiliary release key of this cover?

Built-in uniquely coded RFID door
sensor with inductive door position
sensing will detect if actuator key if actuator key breaks or becomes separated from its door mounted position.

To operate the auxiliary release, simply turn the knob to the left position pointing toward the unlock icon. After the guard opens, turn the knob back to its locked position.
