Schmersal Actuator for AZ 415 Safety Switch - AZ/AZM 415-B2

This actuator from Schmersal is designed for safety applications involving hinged guards. It's constructed in the form of a keyhole, with the actuating key sold separately. This component is designed to be used with AZ 415 safety switches and is compatible with the AZM 415 safety sensor and AES safety monitoring module for ease of assembly. It enables you to manually open or close connections in a safety switch to stop machinery in the event of an emergency.

Features & Benefits

• Adjustable ball latch safety locking mechanism can resist up to 500N (newtons) of vibration force for use in heavy-duty applications
• Minimum actuation radius of 250mm prevents the switch from being activated or deactivated unintentionally
• Manual release option in the event of power failure for enhanced safety
• Complies with CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and Underwriters' Laboratories standards for safe use with safety switches

Applications

• Industrial machine guards
• Automated access controls
• Control panels for conveyor systems

Is this actuator suitable for use in harsh environments?

Yes. The actuator is made from a hardwearing steel material, so it's highly durable. It's also corrosion-resistant, so it can withstand use in damp or humid environments.
