BOS 12M Series Tubular Optical Sensors


The 12M series of Tubular optical sensors are used for the most common applications. All of these sensors diffuse, retroreflective or thru-beam are designed in the same housing as a typical inductive proximity sensor (M12x1). This means that optical and inductive proximity sensors are mechanically and electrically compatible. For installation all the 12M compact series require is a drilled hole.

The available models are:

The Diffuse with fixed sensing distances of 100 mm and 200 mm manufactured to tight tolerances. The use of a red light also makes alignment easier. The Diffuse model with 400 mm range is adjustable making the sensor more flexible and universal.

Retroreflective sensors with polarising filter and an adjustable range up to 1.5 metres and red light.

Thru-beam sensors with 5 metre range, red light and adjustable sensitivity. Output is complimentary, allowing function monitoring of the sensor system. Additional output status display in the sensor face make it easier to align.
