Turck Proximity Sensor, PBT Housing Material, 15mm Detection Range - Uprox Series - BI15U-CP40-FDZ30X2

Position objects with precision using this inductive block-style proximity sensor from Turck. You can use it to detect objects in a 15mm range, so it's ideal for use in small spaces. It takes a supply voltage anywhere between 10 and 300V DC or 20 and 250V AC for versatile use. Thanks to its tough PBT enclosure, it stands up to impact and abrasion. Its IP68 rating means it's dust-tight and protected against submersion in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes. It performs reliably at temperatures between -30°C and +85°C, so it doesn't lose its cool in harsh conditions.

Features & Benefits

• Yellow and green LEDs enable easy visual monitoring of operating status
• Adjustable sensing head with nine positions allows you to configure it to your needs
• Fixed terminal base allows for easy sensor replacement
• Reverse polarity protection guards against electrical damage

Applications

• Production lines
• Robotics
• Packaging plants

What's an inductive sensor?

An inductive sensor is a sensor that uses a magnetic field. You can use it to detect metal objects with no need for physical contact, helping to minimise the risk of wear.
