The Telemecanique Sensors XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose flat form inductive proximity sensor is made of plastic and it is non flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 60mm, it supports 1 normally closed 2-wire discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 150Hz.
