Phoenix Contact SUBCON-PLUS-CAN D-Sub Connectors

SUBCON-PLUS-CAN 9 pin D-sub socket connectors designed for use in CAN systems up to 1 MBit/s (CAN, CANopen, SafetyBus-P) allowing fast connection of incoming and outgoing bus cables under field conditions. These SUBCON-PLUS-CAN d-sub connectors have a 120 Ohm integrated terminating resistor which can be activated externally by a slide switch, segment by segment startup, a shielded ABS housing, screw connections and can all be used with bus cables as per the CiA Draft Recommendation 303-1 with an outside diameter of 8mm.
Stock numbers 801-9119, and 648-3518 have two 35° angled cable entries and an internal connection unit which can be turned around enabling cable insertion from the left or the right. Stock number 648-3518 has a second d-sub connection for connecting a programming device. These all accept a cable cross section of 7.6mm to 8.4mm.
Stock number 648-3495 has a 35° angled cable entry and can accept a variable cable diameter range of 6 to 10mm.
Stock number 648-3502 has a 180° axial cable entry and two cable entries

Phoenix Contact D-Sub Socket Connector, 9-Way, 35 ° - SUBCON-PLUS-CAN/SC2 - 2708999

Choose this Phoenix Contact D-sub connector for fast and simple joining of incoming and outgoing bus cables. You can assemble it under field conditions and it provides for flexible cable entry selection. The connector is compatible with all bus cables with an outside diameter of 8 mm.
This D-sub plug includes a terminating resistor that you can activate externally to ensure high-speed signal transmission and avoid deflection. This simultaneously switches off the outgoing bus segment, making segment-by-segment start-up easy and preventing incorrect termination. The connector's high electromagnetic compatibility reduces interference to ensure your electronic circuit works correctly.
A connector like this is designed for use in CAN (controller area network) bus systems of up to 1 MBit (megabit). It's well suited to industrial conditions and has a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +75°C.

• Nine contacts
• Voltage rating of 50 V
• Current rating of 100 mA
• Screw-in connection method
• Optional cable insertion from left or right side of the unit for versatilit
• Metal plated ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) housing material
