PICkit™ Serial Analyzer
Microchips DV164122 or more commonly known as the PICkit is a great and low-cost serial analyser. This tool is a USB interface and is used to direct communications between a PC and an external serial device. The PICkit also supports multiple protocols such as I²C Master/Slave, SPI master, USART asynchronous/synchronous, LIN and MICROWIRE. Included in the kit is a 28-pin demo board.
PICkit is an effortless tool and contains an easy to use windows software. The software allows you to store scripts and configure the hardware. Not to mention, scripts are saved within an internal library for future use. Scripts can easily be mapped to a push button of executed from the software itself. All communication data and events are posted to a transaction window in a readable format for ease.
