Accelerometer ICs, STMicroelectronics

ST’s MEMS accelerometers include analogue and digital sensors featuring up to ±400g acceleration full scale and from 1.71 to 3.6 V supply voltage. Advanced power-saving features include ultra-low-power mode, auto wake-up function and FIFO buffer that can be used to store data reducing the host processor loading and system power consumption.
These accelerometers can be used in portable applications such as smart phones & PDA’s, or any other application where low power consumption and reduced size are a must. Newer generation accelerometers are also a step forward in miniaturization, with some sized 2x2x1 mm. some are available with both 14 and 12-lead pinout.

Uses for these accelerometers include: Telematics and black boxes, in-dash car navigations, inclination measurement, anti-theft devices, intelligent power saving, vibration monitoring and compensation and motion activated functions.
With this range of accelerometers being capable to be used in the automotive industry (except stock no. 111-6447) such as AIS32x family, they have an extended temperature range and AEC-Q100 qualified.

Note

The stock no. 111-6447 is not intended for Automotive Safety Applications.
