The ultra-compact LUXEON UV LED, from Lumileds, provides exceptional design flexibility. By packing them tightly together, with a spacing of only 0.2mm, LUXEON UV LEDs allow the construction of high power density ultra-violet systems.
Utilising the proven SMT LUXEON Z LED design with a UV die, the Flip Chip assembly method puts the die into direct contact with the thermally conductive Aluminium Nitride (AlN) substrate for superior thermal management.
Combining high power and excellent efficiency, the reliable LUXEON UV LED is ideal for a wide range of applications including: ultra violet curing, counterfeit detection, spectroscopy, medical, security/forensic lighting and specialty lighting such as aquarium lighting and blacklight for night clubs.
