LinkZero-LP Zero No-load AC-DC Converters

The Power Integrations LinkZero-LP AC-DC converters incorporate circuitry which enables the devices to automatically enter or exit a no-load condition whilst consuming less than 5mW of standby power at 230Vac. This low power level is almost immeasurable on most power meters and is effectively zero when using the IEC 62301 specification for standby power.

123-5540 LNK574DG AC/DC Converter 3W
123-5541 LNK576DG AC/DC Converter 8W

• Automatically enters standby mode when load drops below ∼0.6% of full load for LNK574 and ∼0.2% for LNK576
• Detects load reconnection and automatically restarts regulation
• Simple upgrade to existing Power Integrations LinkSwitch-LP designs
• Suitable for low-cost clampless designs
• Frequency jittering greatly reduces EMI filter cost
• Compact SO-8 package with extended creepage improves system field reliability
• Accurate hysteretic thermal shutdown protection with automatic recovery
• Universal input range allows worldwide operation
• Auto-restart reduces delivered power by >85% during short-circuit and open-loop fault conditions
• ON/OFF control provides constant efficiency with very light loads; no loop compensation needed
• High bandwidth provides excellent transient load response with no overshoot
• No-load or standby (1 mW output power) consumption less than 5 mW at 230 Vac input
• Easily meets all global energy efficiency regulations with no added components
