RS PRO Ferric Chloride Hexahydrate Etching Chemical, Crystal Form
This jar of ferric chloride hexahydrate crystals from RS PRO is a processing chemical for etching and engraving copper-clad circuit boards. You can dissolve the crystals in water to create the etching solution. You then immerse the prepared circuit board in the solution for around ten minutes until the etching is complete.
These crystals come in a large sealed tub and are further protected by a polythene bag that prevents harmful leaks. The tub contains a corrosive warning sign to remind users to wear protective gloves and eyewear when handling the product, increasing workplace safety.
The 2 kg package contains enough granules to produce 5 litres of etching solution, so you'll have enough to handle big jobs. The solution can even be reused. Simply heat it to extend its life if it becomes weaker over time.
