The Microchip High side load switch is designed for operation between 1.7V to 5.5V. It contains a low on-resistance P-channel MOSFET that supports 1.2A of continuous current. The device features an active load discharge circuit that ensures capacitive loads retain no charge when the main switch is in an OFF state. It offers rapid turn-on, while another version provides a slew-rate controlled Soft-Start turn-on of 800μs (typical) to prevent in-rush current from glitching supply rails.
