Phoenix Contact MC & MCV PCB headers - 3.81 mm pitch

The MC & MCV range of PCB headers from Phoenix contact are well known, and versatile connectors. They feature multiple connection technologies so that you can use one header for multiple different uses, all while having a premium build. The range all feature a 3.81 mm pitch and can be mounted via wave soldering straight onto your motherboard or any PCB. Furthermore, these connectors are mounted vertically so this allows you to arrange them in multi-row arrangements on your PCB.

The housings are made from a green PBT (Polybutylene terephthalate) making them sturdy thanks to PBT's great properties, this, in turn, means these PCB headers can be used in some extreme conditions. Both MC & MCV series can work in temperatures from -40°C up to 100°C.

Features and benefits:

  • Mounted via through-hole and soldered, will allow you to use these connectors worldwide

  • Total flexibility with your design - one header accepts multiple connections technologies so you can use one series of headers

  • Pitch of 3.81mm for compatibility with most other connectors

  • Shrouded pins provide extra protection to your connection and can offer sturdy connections overtime

  • Nominal current of 8A

What is a PCB header?

A PCB header is a type of connector that is used on printed circuit boards, most commonly motherboards to allow you to connect other accessories or cables into a single connector on the circuit board. They come in different shapes and sizes and can be mounted in various ways. The MC & MCV series are all recommended to be wave soldered onto the PCB.
