SMC Pneumatic Tube Release Tool
The SMC Tube Release Tools enable pneumatic tubes to be safely released from One-touch fittings and/or manifolds, without damaging the tube or fitting.
Why use the SMC Tube Release Tool?
Access to some areas of pneumatic systems is often restricted, and removal of pneumatic lines can prove challenging in some instances. SMC's Tube Release Tools allow the removal of tubes within confined/restricted areas, and has the additional benefit of being able to be used with one hand.
Ease of Use
The SMC Tube Release Tool is easy to use. The end of the tool is placed against the tube release button on the fitting/manifold. While grasping the handle tightly, the tube is firmly inserted up to the stroke end (handle end) of the tool. Relax your grip on the tool handle once the tube has been inserted. The returning force of the spring will then release the tube from the fitting/manifold. Setting the tool up for the release of Ø4mm or Ø6mm tube is very straightforward: simply push the end of the tool and rotate by 180° to locate the desired tube size to release (shown on the underside of the nose of the tool).
