Broadcom® AFBR-S4N33C013 NUV-HD Single Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) is used in applications that detect low-level pulsed light sources such as Cherenkov or scintillation light from organic and inorganic scintillator materials. The SiPM produces an ultra-sensitive precision measurement of single photons and will detect light wavelengths from near-ultraviolet (UV) in the visible light spectrum. The photomultiplier has a high sensitivity towards the blue light region of the light spectrum.
The single silicon multiplier uses through silicon via (TSV) technology and has an active 3 x 3 mm2 area. Scaling up multiple AFBR-S4N33C013 ICs can produce a bigger area letting you create an array with not much edge loss.
The Broadcom® NUV-HD SiPM includes applications such as time correlated single photon counting, X-ray and gamma ray detection, gamma ray spectroscopy. The photomultiplier AFBR-S4N33C013 can be implemented in areas such as life sciences n flow cytometry, astrophysics, nuclear medicine as well as safety and security.
