3M IDC Connector, 14 Way, 2 Rows - 4600 Series - 4614-6001


The open end covers of this IDC (insulation-displacement contact) connector from 3M allow easy daisy-chaining and bussing, while its shrouded design protects the pins against physical or chemical damage. It's suitable for use with either flat ribbon cable or separate solid or stranded wires sized between 26 and 28AWG. An operating temperature range of -55ºC to +105ºC makes it suitable for challenging industrial environments. The glass-filled polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) insulator combines strength with excellent dielectric properties, while gold-plated copper contacts resist corrosion to stay highly conductive and accurately transmit signals.
