These DF63 Series 3.96 mm wire to board small power supply header connectors are part of the EnerBee range. The DF63 series has a maximum current capacity of 15A when used with 16 AWG wire. The housings of these DF63 3.96 mm headers feature a robust positive locking mechanism designed to prevent accidental unmating caused by drops or external shocks. When mated, a clear, tactile click is produced which confirms the connector is fully engaged guaranteeing a complete electrical and mechanical connection. This positive locking mechanism is on the centre of the housing which enables even locking and prevents cable entanglement that side locks can cause. Having locks on the side also offers space saving on the PCB enabling high density side by side mounting. The DF63 3.96 mm headers also feature a protection mechanism which prevents incomplete insertion of the mating crimp contacts. The housing design also features colour coding and keying to prevent incorrect mating between different number of postions. The contacts of these DF63 connectors are separated by walls inside the enabling them to be independent of one another and preventing short circuits. These DF63 3.96 mm header connectors feature guide posts that help with accurate placement and orientation on the PCB and to prevent reverse mounting. The housing material of the DF63 headers contains a glass filled resin to decrease thermal shrinkage and prevent solder cracking.
