Schmersal RFID Non-Contact Safety Switch, M12, 600mA Current - RSS 36 Series - RSS 36-D-ST

Use this highly sensitive non-contact safety switch from Schmersal to accurately monitor the position of movable protective devices. It consists of an RFID (radio frequency identification) sensor that aligns with an actuator when the protective component crosses a set distance, triggering the machine to stop. The sensor's glass fibre-reinforced thermoplastic housing is self-extinguishing for enhanced safety in the event of a fire. Its low supply current of 600mA makes it an energy-efficient choice.

Features & Benefits

• Compact dimensions of 106.3 (length) x 22 (width) x 25mm (depth) for use in areas where space is limited
• IP67 (ingress protection) rating for protection against dust and immersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes
• Meets IEC/EN60947-5-3 (International Electrotechnical Commission/European Norm) standards for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear

Applications

• Lifts and escalators
• Conveyors
• Metalwork machinery

How do I know that this sensor is plugged in and functional?

This sensor has an integrated LED (light-emitting diode) status indicator that shows you when it's on and whether it's within or beyond switching distance. These signals make it easy to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
