SICK RE1 & RE2 Series of Non-Contact Safety Switches

RE1 & RE2 magnetic safety switches are equipped with NC/NO contacts or equivalent N/O contacts which are treated directly with coded magnetic actuators. These types of safety system switches are particularly useful in areas where there may be a high level of contamination (these units are simple to clean and keep high hygiene standards).

Features and Benefits

• Response range from 7-9 mm.

• Magnetic sensor principle.

• Built-in LED response indicator.

• Performance level up to PL e / Cat. 4 (EN ISO 13849).

• Glass-fibre reinforced PPS rectangular housing.

• High tolerances for door misalignment.

• 2-3 contacts (see specifications).

• Enclosure rating IP67 (IEC 60529).

Typical applications

The RE1&2 series are compatible anywhere where a high standard of hygiene is necessary for operations. Typically, you'll find these types of safety switches where precise guidance of a safety door isn't always possible.

• Monitoring of safety doors & removable guards.

• Applications requiring a high standard of hygiene.

Note

The actuators are only coded in the sense that they have an identical magnetic combination making them type specific not individual example specific.
