Allen Bradley Guardmaster Ferrogard 440N-G02014 Magnetic Non-Contact Switch

Enhance your machine guard safety system and provide critical safe-access for personnel to dangerous machinery with the Ferrogard 440N-G02014 Magnetic Non-Contact Safety Switch, 250V ac with ABS plastic housing, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. This innovative switch helps to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency.

This safety interlock device provides superior tolerance to door misalignment and movement with its large sensing field, along with the well-known reliability of non-contact switches. It also features internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact.

This cost-effective switch is specifically designed to be installed on machine guard doors and is perfectly suited for use on sliding, hinge, and lift-off machine guards. The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contact which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run until the guard is securely closed, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area and reducing risk of injury.

The 440N-G02014 Ferrogard magnetic safety switch has a supply voltage rating of 250VAC at 2A current, has 1NC (Normally Closed) safety contact and 1NO (Normally Open) auxiliary contact, and comes with FRS2 rectangular housings and a 4m cable. It has an operating temperature range of -10°C and +65°C and a sensing distance of 12mm (Make) to 23mm (Break).

Features and Benefits:

• Non-contact actuation - long lasting due to less wear-and-tear, simple set-up, guard door can be opened immediately
• Wide sensing field provides greater tolerance to misalignment
• Red Moulded ABS Plastic rectangular housing
• High switching current (2A max) and protected safety contacts to ensure it does not fail to danger
• No control unit required
• Sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P) –can withstand temporary immersion in water, fully protected against dust ingress
• Perfect for use in hygiene applications and low to medium risk applications

What are the advantages of non-contact safety switches?

Non-contact safety switches have a long service life as they take less wear and are low-maintenance, they are also resistant to shocks and vibrations and cannot be easily tampered with. They are well suited for sliding, hinge, and lift-off machine guard doors and are frequently used in industrial environments, such as factories, to monitor and protect the safety barriers of dangerous machines. Allen Bradley Guardmaster is a world leading brand for machine safety switches and devices, and their products are constructed to global standards for high stability, reliability, and quality.
