Improve protection for personnel and provide essential safe-access to machinery with the Ferrogard Non-Contact Safety Switch in Stainless Steel, 2m Cable, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. This unit offers superior security and stability as it combines the reliability of non-contact switches with a high tolerance to door misalignment.

The 440N-G02154 magnetically actuated switch has 1NC Safety and 1 NC auxiliary contacts, a supply voltage of 250 V ac at 2A current, and a 2m cable. It has robust Stainless Steel FRS13 rectangular housing which suits narrow mounting areas. It is designed to be installed on machine guards and doors and has 2 active sensing faces. The operating distance is: make 12 mm, break 23 mm. This switch is ideal for wet environments as the contacts are environmentally sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), ensuring that they are fully dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water. All Ferrogard safety switches have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact and protected contacts to help ensure that they do not fail to danger, unlike some magnetic switches.

How it works: The magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch when the safety barrier is released. This opens the NC safety contact which then isolates power to the machine. This ensures that machinery cannot run while the guard is open, ensuring that personnel cannot access a hazardous area.
