Allen Bradley Guardmaster Sipha 440N-S32043 Magnetic Non-Contact Switch

Experience superior machine guard locking and ensure safe-access for personnel with the Sipha 440N-S32043 Magnetic Non-Contact Safety Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.

This advanced switch features magnetically sensitive elements which must be activated in a specific sequence to operate correctly, ensuring greater stability and security. Power is isolated when the machine guard is released, preventing access to dangerous areas for operators as machinery cannot run until the safety barrier is closed. It is highly tamper-resistant as it is designed specifically to operate with its actuator and cannot be defeated by a simple magnet, giving you peace-of-mind.

These safety switches are ideal for use with sliding, hinge, and lift-off safety guards. The control unit is used with a single sensor to ensure a high-integrity system in high-risk applications. The Sipha switch has facilities for connecting a manual reset button and monitoring external devices, such as contactors. For other applications, multiple sensors (including mechanical switches) can be connected to one Sipha control unit.

This Sipha 440N switch has a supply voltage rating of 250VAC, 300VDC, 1NC Auxiliary contact, and 1NC + 1NO Safety contacts. It has a switching distance of 10mm (Make) to 13mm (Break) and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +125°C. It uses an 8 Pin Micro (M12) Connector.

Features and Benefits:

• Non-contact actuation - long lasting due to less wear-and-tear, simple set-up, guard door can be opened immediately
• Reliable magnetic coded sensing
• Must be operated with its own safety control unit, giving a monitored circuit
• Easy to install and versatile due to its compact size and moulded-in brackets
• Highly durable robust stainless-steel housing
• Sealed to IP67 – fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand temporary immersion in water

What are magnetically coded non-contact safety switches?

A magnetically coded non-contact switch is a device used for monitoring the position of machine safety barriers. They are typically used in industrial environments. It uses a magnetically-actuated reed contact and a specially-coded actuator. When the barrier is opened the contacts will either open or close due to the magnetic force interrupting the circuit. As there is no contact between the sensor and actuator they take less wear, are resistant to shocks and vibrations, and are highly tamper-proof, which gives them a long service life. They are often used for sliding, hinge, and removable gates.

Allen Bradley Guardmaster aim to maximise protection, efficiency, and productivity in your workplace with their wide range of machine safety and monitoring devices. With their high-quality safety products recognised for excellence and innovation across the globe, you can be sure to find a flexible and secure solution for your application.
