Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440N-G02123 Magnetic Non-Contact Switch

Improve the safety and security of your machine guard or door with the Ferrogard 440N Magnetic Safety Switch, 24 V dc by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.

The Ferrogard range of magnetically actuated safety switches provide the reliability of non-contact switches, combined with greater tolerance to door misalignment, to keep your operations running smoothly. They are specially designed so that when a guard door is opened the magnetic actuator is removed from the switch, and this action opens the N.C. safety contacts so that power to the machine is cut off. This helps to prevent injury to personnel in hazardous environments, where dangerous machines are in operation.

All Ferrogards have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact and protected safety contacts to help ensure that they do not fail to danger, unlike some magnetic safety switches. They are well suited for wet environments as the contacts are completely sealed to meet IP68 (NEMA 6P) requirements, which means that they can withstand powerful jets of water and are also dust tight.

Find your perfect solution with the Allen Bradley Guardmaster range of machine safety switches, from Rockwell Automation. Their reliable, high-quality safety devices provide essential protection for personnel against injury and keep your machines running efficiently, giving you maximum control and ensuring enhanced productivity.

Note: This safety device can be used with Guardlink, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley GuardMaster. Guardlink simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over an Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the safety system, thus reducing downtime and improving the machines overall efficiency. For more details, please go to the Guardlink brochure.

What are the advantages of non-contact safety switches?

Non-contact safety switches by Allen Bradley Guardmaster are highly suited for sliding, hinge, or lift-off machine guard doors, are long lasting, and offer simple setup and alignment which helps to reduce installation costs. The risk of debris contamination is decreased due to no contact between the sensor and actuator. They are fairly tamper-proof and require minimal maintenance. As such, they are often used in industrial applications, such as machine guarding in factory production lines.
