Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440N-Z21S16A Sensaguard RFID Safety Switch

This cost-efficient safety switch is perfectly suited to meet a wide range of industrial applications due to its wide sensing range and tolerance to door misalignment. It has advanced latest generation Radio Frequency Identification technology for coding and inductive technology for sensing to keep your machine processes secure and running smoothly.
The 440N-Z21S16A Sensaguard RFID safety switch has an 18mm standard type actuator, an 18mm cylindrical barrel and a 3m cable. It has a supply voltage of 24 V dc. The sensing distance is 15mm and it also features LED indication on the switch for door status and rapid troubleshooting, helping to minimise downtime. The housing material is made of VALOX® DR 4. It has an operating temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The enclosure has an excellent environmental protection rating of IP69K, ensuring that it can withstand regular high-pressure wash downs and is also dust-tight.

What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact method of transferring digital data via radio frequency waves. Devices with this type of wireless communication usually consist of an RFID tag, an RFID reader, and an antenna. The tag transmits data when triggered by an electromagnetic pulse from the reader. This technology is used widely in many industries, for example with tracking inventory goods, personnel tracking and identification, and restricted area access. Non-contact switches with this technology are highly tamper-proof as they cannot be manipulated, providing a higher level of security.
