Allen Bradley Guardmaster Sensaguard RFID Non-Contact Safety Switch, 10m Cable - 440N-Z21S17B
This highly sensitive inductive sensor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range is used to improve machine and operator safety in industrial environments. It works by isolating power flow to the machine when the guard doors are open. Thanks to its advanced Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, this component can be configured and programmed according to your specifications. This intelligent sensor also has an automatic learning feature at startup that enables it to constantly synchronise with its actuator and the machine, giving you seamless performance and reduced downtime.

Non-contact safety interlock switches are an ideal solution for protecting machine operators as they ensure that power supply to the machine is isolated when the door is released. This helps to prevent personnel from accessing potentially hazardous areas where dangerous machine processes may be in motion.
Is this safety switch waterproof?
• Multiple sensing directions for maximum application flexibility
• Can be connected in series with other safety components (light curtain, E-stops, key interlock switches)
• No dedicated controller is required
• Short-circuit and over-voltage protection provides optimal stability
• Uses the standard proximity brackets
• Fast troubleshooting due to LED indication located on the switch

Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, and brings smart manufacturing to life. With a long legacy of creating Allen-Bradley® integrated control and information solutions, we help make you as productive as possible. Our portfolio of sensing, safety and motor control products can support your move towards smart machine applications. Allen-Bradley® IO-Link sensors are data-enabled and communicate with all field buses, providing diagnostic and health information about the device before a machine stops, and enabling quick production changeovers through fast parameter downloads from PLCs into the device. This reduces machine downtime and increases manufacturing OEE. For safety components, products with built-in diagnostics simplify the set-up of the smart device, and reduce maintenance, leading to a more efficient, machine data-driven approach.
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact method of transferring digital data via radio frequency waves. Devices with this type of wireless communication usually consist of an RFID tag, an RFID reader, and an antenna. The tag transmits data when triggered by an electromagnetic pulse from the reader. This technology is used widely in many industries, for example with tracking inventory goods, personnel tracking and identification, and restricted area access. Non-contact switches with this technology are highly tamper-proof as they cannot be manipulated, providing a higher level of security.
