The direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter is a 5.5 kW automatic 3-phase starter that can reduce current requirements for use with induction motors. They are especially helpful for starting induction motors rated below 5 hp.

This model doesn't include an overload, so you would need to select one from the RF38 series – for example, stock no. 685-130 – to match the full-load current of your motor. This means you won't have to worry about damage from dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction.
