CONTACTRON EMM - Electronic Motor Manager
In multi-channel Fieldbus applications, the modular structure provides a significant potential for saving costs as well as space. For the first time in Fieldbus-free motor applications it also offers the option of increasing system safety significantly through professional motor management, which in turn increases productivity considerably.
Phoenix Contact CONTRACTON EMM
In automation technology, motors provide movement. In the case of errors such as underload, overload, pollution or wear, motor protection switches/relays protect the motor, but not the system. This leads to disturbances and system standstill. A remedy for this is the modular motor management system CONTACTRON EMM whose integrated measuring technology precisely monitors the effective power consumed by the motors, analyses errors and provides an early warning to the controller using parameterizable limit values. This increases the system availability enormously. In the worst case, motor managers obviously also enable a quick emergency stop of the motor in order to protect the system. A bus interface additionally facilitates integration of motor managers into Profibus applications.
