Frequency Converter SINAMICS G120X MODBUS / BACNET / USS
Compact frequency converter for fluid flow engines as pumps, fans and compressors in infrastructure applications, water/wastewater and renewables, and HVAC. State-of-the-art IGBT technology with pulse-width modulation is used for reliable and flexible motor operation. Equipped with smart infrastructure applications specific software functions.
It features both a wide voltage range (3 AC 200...240 V, 3 AC 380...480 V, 3 AC 500...690 V) and a wide operating temperature range (frame sizes FSA to FSG can operate in an environment of -20 °C to +60 °C) according to IEC. The standard 61800-9-2 frequency converter achieves energy efficiency class IE2.
The frequency converter must be able to run 2 – 8 pole asynchronous motors of the efficiency classes IE2 to IE4 without overdimensioning. Furtheron it must be possible to operate synchronous reluctance motors and permanent magnet synchronous motor with moderate saturation. For this, the following control methods must be available: v/f characteristic linear, parabolic, parametrizable, with flux current control, sensorless vector control. All control methods must have an energy saving mode for additional energy savings. Output frequency 0 – 550 Hz (0 – 100Hz >= 315kW) in v/f mode, 0 – 240 Hz (0 – 100Hz >= 315kW) in vector mode. Installation altitude is up to 4000 m above sea level, the permissible converter output current is reduced above an installation altitude of 1000 m. The side-by-side mounting (with 0 mm lateral clearance) allows maximum utilization of cabinet space. The DC Link terminals of the inverter must be accessible for external connections.

The drive system must be protected through thermal motor protection with PTC/KTY84/Pt1000/bimetal, thermal converter protection, monitoring for under voltage and overvoltage, overloading, grounding, short circuiting, stalling and blocking of the motor.
