EN Series Rotary Optical Encoder

EN series rotary optical encoders with two channel quadrature output, a square wave signal and a resolution to 256 PPR. These EN series rotary optical encoders are bushing or servo mount, CMOS and TTL compatible and have a long life of 10,000,000 revolutions. Versions with a ball bearing bushing configuration (stock numbers 164-2633, 789-9501, 789-9501 and 827-5029) have an increased life of 200,000,000 revolutions as well as a high operating speed of 3000 rpm. Typical applications for these rotary optical encoders include digital panel control or position sensing where reliability, long life, high resolution and precision linearity are essential.

Features & Benefits

2-bit quadrature output, channel A leads channel B by 90° with clockwise rotation
Metal bushing and shaft, long life, high operating speed
Square wave signal, CMOS and TTL compatible
64, 128 or 256 cycles per revolution
ENA types have bush mounting (spring loaded for optimum feel)
ENS type has bush mounting (ball bearing shaft support)
Continuous mechanical rotation
