This absolute encoder provides precision position feedback for industrial automation via a PROFINET network. Housed in an aluminium enclosure with a blind hollow shaft and stainless-steel shaft, it is engineered for continuous operation across a wide temperature range and offers multiple revolutions and high single-turn resolution for accurate angular measurement in demanding control systems.

The device uses three axial M12 connectors

two D-coded for PROFINET ports and one A-coded 4-pin for power and signal distribution.

Diagnostic outputs include temperature extremes, maximum speed, power-on and operating hours counters, and direction-change statistics available via the PROFINET encoder profile.

What mechanical tolerances and lifetime can be expected from the shaft assembly?


The hollow shaft accepts a 15mm diameter, with permissible axial movement up to 0.5mm static and radial up to 0.3mm, and bearing life rated at 3.0x10^9 revolutions.
