This tough stainless steel rod is a versatile component that has a variety of applications from marine equipment to food production and chemical engineering. It can be used underwater or in situations where there's a risk of pitting type corrosion.
As it’s made from austenitic steel, the bar is highly durable. This material contains molybdenum – an element used to boost corrosion resistance and weldability to steel. It's also non-magnetic and ideal for fabrications where corrosive liquids are in use. As molybdenum resists pitting, it's a material that prolongs the life of the rods in even the most challenging environments.
Available in lengths of 1.5 metres and with a 5 mm diameter, this stainless steel rod is part of the RS PRO range. That means it's been rigorously tested for quality and consistency.
