RS PRO Tool Steel Flat Bar, 10 mm (W), 3 mm (H), 500 mm (L)
This tool steel flat bar from RS PRO is a building support material for construction and fabrication applications. This rectangular-shaped bar has a length of 500 mm and is just three millimetres thick, so it's easily drilled or shaped to suit your needs.
The tool steel material is fully annealed to allow the bar to be moulded without losing its strength. The material is also free from carburisation to ensure the durability of the bar is not compromised and has an even density throughout. This steel bar conforms to the BS4659 (British Standard) for cold work tool steel, which means it maintains a good level of machinability and hardness after tempering. The bar is strong enough to support masonry structures and can be utilised for machine parts, gauges, punches, dies, jigs, templates or cams.
