Honeywell Snap-Action Limit Switch, 300V AC/DC, 10A - GLC Series - GLCB01A4J

Use this limit switch from Honeywell to automate the powering on and off of your electrical devices. Its rod actuator moves to automatically trigger your system, reducing the need for potentially unsafe manual control. As it's a snap-action switch, it transfers energy rapidly across its NC (normally closed) and NO (normally open) contacts for an immediate switching response. Thanks to its durable, corrosion-resistant zinc housing, this unit is suitable for use in harsh environments. The switch also has a removable contact block for quick and easy wiring during installation.

Features & Benefits

• Voltage rating of 300V AC/DC for use in high-power systems
• Long mechanical life of 10 million cycles for long-lasting performance
• Wide operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C for use in demanding environments
• Compact dimensions of 68.5 (length) x 30.5 (width) x 26.36mm (depth) for systems with limited space
• IP66 (ingress protection) rating for protection against dust and high-pressure water jets

Applications

• Escalators and elevators
• Packaging machinery
• Scissor lifts

How does a limit switch work?

A limit switch detects the presence or absence of an object to automate on-and-off switching. This makes it useful for switching on lights in a refrigerator or opening a garage door automatically.
