Siemens Ultrasonic Level Transducer, Self-Cleaning, 30kHZ frequency - Echomax XPS Series - 7ML1115-3CA30

Sound out an accurate measuring solution with this ultrasonic level transducer from Siemens. It safely measures the level of solids and liquids when physical measurement is not possible, like with boiling or corrosive fluids. The transducer has a narrow, sensitive beam to provide precise, interference-free results. A self-cleaning feature cuts down on maintenance time. You can use this versatile device with many different mediums, including fluids, pellets and slurries. This makes it suitable for alerting personnel when levels are getting low in production, agricultural and automation environments.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range between -20°C and +95°C so it's suitable for harsh settings
• IP68 rating indicates it's protected against dust and high-pressure jets of water
• Maximum range of 30m means it can perform in large industrial containers

How does an ultrasonic level transducer work?

A transducer like this works similarly to radar but with sound waves instead of radio. It pings an ultrasonic pulse beyond human hearing at the surface of the liquid or solid it's measuring. The level calculates the distance to the surface by the length of time it takes for the wave to bounce back.
