SITRANS Submersible Pressure Transmitter

SITRANS P MPS submersible sensors for level sensors. Hydrostatic pressure sensors are placed on, or close to the bottom of the tank and the pressure on the level sensor by the water column is used to calculate the fluid level by a piezo-resistive bridge inside the sensor. Signal from the bridge is then converted a electrical output of 4 to 20mA. Example applications include shipbuilding, oil, gas, water supply and pressure-less or open tanks, wells, channels and dams.

Easy to install
IP68
0.3% measurement error
Temperature compensating
Robust design requiring minimal maintenance

Note

When using in mediums other than water it is important to check compatibility with the materials of the transmitter. During installation ensure the junction box is close to the point of measurement and the cable should always be longer than the water column requiring measurement.

Siemens Pressure Transmitter Switch

Siemens Pressure Transmitters switch is a cable mount submersible sensors for hydrostatic level measurements. It has a front-flush, piezoresistive sensor with stainless steel diaphragm. These pressure transmitters are available for various measuring ranges with an option of explosion protection. Hydrostatic pressure sensors are placed on, or close to the bottom of the tank. This pressure is compared with atmospheric pressure. Pressure compensation is carried out using the vent pipe in the connection cable. Subsequently, the pressure on the level sensor by the water column is used to calculate the fluid level by a piezo-resistive bridge inside the sensor. The signal from the bridge is then converted the electrical output of 4 to 20mA.

A junction box and a cable hanger are available as accessories for simple installation.

Note:
When using in mediums other than water, it is important to check compatibility with the materials of the transmitter. During installation, ensure the junction box is close to the point of measurement. Also, the cable should always be longer than the water column requiring measurement.
