Vishay VSMB1940 Series IR Emitting Diodes
The VSMB1940 series, from Vishay Semiconductors, are Infrared (IR) emitting diodes. They use double hetero (DH) technology for a high radiant power output. The VSMB1940 family come in a surface mount (SMT) package with a standard 0805 footprint.

SurfLight™ Technology
SurfLight™ series, from Vishay Semiconductors, consists of high power Infrared (IR) emitters. Their SurfLight™ technology enables the majority of the light and power to be emitted directly through the top of the chip. Standard IR emitters send their light in all directions.
SurfLight™ technology therefore offers a higher intensity output of light. A higher intensity can reduce the number of emitters required for a design. This series also offers high speed with a high pulse current operation.
The reliable SurfLight™ IR LEDs are ideal for applications such as IR data transmission or communication, 3D TV glasses synchronisation, automotive, industrial and IR illumination for CCTV cameras.
