FTDI Chip Adapter Board

The FTDI Chip USB to RS485 adapter board is a USB to quad interface RS422 level serial UART incorporating FTDI’s FT2232H hi-speed USB2.0 to dual serial UART interface IC device. This adaptor provides a fast and simple way to connect devices with an RS422 interface to USB. This module uses a standard USB Mini B device connector for connection to an upstream host or hub port. It requires USB device drivers, which are used to make the board appear as four Virtual COM Ports (VCP). This allows existing serial communication software, such as HyperTerminal to exchange data through the board to a legacy RS422 peripheral device.
