FTDI Chip Adapter Board

The FTDI Chip adapter board provides a simple method of adapting two legacy RS232 serial devices to a modern USB port. This is accomplished by incorporating the industry standard USB2.0 hi-speed serial bridge chip. This module uses a standard USB-miniB device connector for connecting to an upstream host or hub port. This module requires USB device drivers, which is used to make the module appear as two Virtual COM Port (VCP). This allows existing serial communications software, such as HyperTerminal to exchange data through the module to a legacy RS232 peripheral device.
