Ixxat simplyCAN, USB-CAN-Adapter with galvanic isolation and D-Sub 9 connector
With its CAN high-speed interface, the Ixxat simplyCAN enables a fast and cost-efficient CAN bus connection of computers with USB interface. It is a suitable tool for diagnosis, configuration, and commissioning of CAN networks. Using a straightforward API, Ixxat simplyCAN can be easily integrated into various customer applications and does not require a driver installation for operation.
The PC connection is established via a native USB 1.1 Full-Speed port (12 Mbit/s), while the CAN bus side connects via a D-Sub 9 connector with galvanic isolation. This galvanic isolation provides reliable protection of the PC against overvoltage and voltage peaks.
The simplyCAN device includes a simple monitoring tool for Windows and Linux, which can be used for commissioning the adapter, displaying messages in raw format, and sending individual messages. This tool can be downloaded free of charge from the website (www.hms-networks.com/support/general-downloads).
