The Advantech RS 232 (DB9 Female) to RS 485 2-Wire (Terminal Block) Converter enables the extension of RS 232 data signals up to 1.2 km by converting RS 232 transmit (TD) and receive (RD) lines into RS 485 communication signals. It supports data rates up to 115.2 kbps and features automatic send data control, so no additional software drivers are needed. The converter is powered directly from the RS 232 handshake lines, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
