Calex PyroUSB model PUA2-751-HT is an infrared pyrometer that measures surface temperatures from 450°C to 2,000°C, accurately and consistently, with a response time of 200 ms.
This model has a 2.2 μm measurement wavelength, offering improved performance when measuring reflective iron and steel surfaces. It is also capable of measuring non-reflective materials and general purpose high-temperature measurements.
The 2-wire loop-powered 4-20 mA output is compatible with almost any indicator, controller, recorder or data logger, without the need for special interfacing or signal conditioning.
The sensor has USB communications via the included removable USB cable. CalexConfig software is available as a free download from www.calex.co.uk/software. Third-party Modbus software can also be used.
75:1 divergent optics provide a small measured spot size, even at long distances.
The sensor is fully configurable via the software, including adjustable emissivity setting, averaging, peak or valley hold processing, 4-20 mA output temperature range, and transmissivity for use with a viewport window.
This robust sensor has a stainless steel housing and is sealed to IP65 for use in industrial applications in ambient temperatures of up to 70°C.
