BT224 Type Connectors
BT224 style plugs and sockets are manufactured from grey glass-filled polyester fitted with high-quality gold-plated contacts.
The male headers have long locking levers which serve to lock or disengage the mated connectors and moulded-in polarising keys. They are fully shrouded so that the receptacles can not be mismated. Plugs utilise tin-plated round termination pins (on 2.54mm pitch) for good solderability and are available in straight and right angled versions. The connector fixing hole dimensions are 2.55mm and the recommended PCB fixing hole size is 2.9 mm.
Cable mounting sockets provide a pre-loaded snap facility to ensure accurate cable alignment and fast termination to 1.27mm Speedbloc® ribbon cables. Ideal for bus interconnections and daisy chain applications. The sockets consist of three parts: the socket housing with double depth polarising grooves to ensure effective polarisation; cable locating and locking clip; cable strain relief clip.
