Belden Alpha Wire Silver-Plated Copper Conductor Hook-Up Wire, 0.62mm² Cross-Sectional Area, 30m Length - Premium Series - 5856 BK005

This hook-up wire from Belden's Alpha Wire range is used to connect electrical circuits in enclosed equipment. It's a standard size 20 AWG (American Wire Gauge) with an outer diameter of 1.47mm, so it's tough and cut-resistant. The unshielded wire is coated in Teflon insulation, which has high thermal resistance –you can use it in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +200°C so it's suitable for harsh industrial environments. A 30m length lets you cut and fix it as your applications require.

Features & Benefits

• Silver-plated copper conductor is very durable and resistant to corrosion
• 9.6lbs maximum pull tension prevents snapping in high-pressure applications
• Convenient design for quick stripping and termination

Applications

• Medical technology
• Electrical motors
• HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems

How flexible is this hook-up wire?

This wire has a bend radius 10 times its 1.47mm cable diameter. This makes it very flexible and able to withstand high tension.

Is this cable terminated or unterminated?

This is an unterminated cable that can be secured in place by soldering or crimping the ends. You can also connect it directly to a circuit board.
