Hammond Enclosure,275 (L) x 175 (W) x 67mm (H), Lap Joint Construction, Shielded - 1550 Series - 1550J

Keep your kit clean with this instrument enclosure from Hammond. The die-cast aluminium box provides a rugged housing for instrumentation. Thanks in part to its lap-joint construction, the unit has an IP54 rating. This means it protects your equipment from dust and water splashes. It also shields the contents from EMI and RFI to help maintain the quality of your signal. The side walls of the enclosure have a low draft angle of 2° or less, so slotting a PCB inside is fuss-free.

Features & Benefits

• Unpainted with a Vibra finish, meaning no jagged edges that could snag or cause injury
• Comes with stainless steel screws that fit factory-tapped holes in the lid, for a secure fit
• Dimensions of 275 (L) x 175 (W) x 67mm (H) to handle larger components

Applications

• Lighting controllers
• Navigation kit
• Medical imaging equipment

What's a Vibra finish?

A Vibra finish is created in a vibratory finishing machine, which rubs the housing against an abrasive medium in a bowl. It makes the items lose their roughness and helps to achieve a smooth texture.
